Janet’s Wee Blether
Hope you have all been to Glenshee to sample the excellent conditions.
They say this is the best snow-cover for at least 10 years and I can certainly agree with that. I have been quite a few times and the cover has been extensive, a bit crunchy in bits, but great fun.
Unfortunately the Ski Day on 31st January was not well attended, only 5 takers.
Also the Film Night attracted only 12 people, shame ‘cos the DVD was very good!
Future Events
Tiso Club Night
A reminder that there is a Club Discount Night at the Tiso shop in Whitehall Street, Dundee from 6.30 to 8.30 pm on Tuesday 2nd March, with up to 20% off many leading brands.
Ski Day
A second Ski Day will be held at the Day Lodge on Sunday 28th March, after the President returns from France. Please let Janet know by Thursday 25th if you will be there.
End of Season Meal
Advance notice that this will be on Friday 23rd April.
Glenshee Performance Squad
This season has been great for GPS with the juniors having completed two four week blocks. They will start a third block (of two weeks only) on 14th March. Due to road closures the Masters are only half-way through their second block but expect to complete this in March.
GPS will be holding floodlight racing at Claybokie on Saturday 6th March from 5pm, followed by a meal in the Café. All members of the GPS participating Clubs are invited to take part in this fun evening and if we can find any of the old DSC trophies we could award them! There will be two runs, the better to count. Racing will be free and the meal will cost no more than £10. Names to Ken by 1st March. More details at the GPS website (click here).
